Alice is a London-based artist currently in the third year of her undergraduate degree; she lives and works in south east London. Alice’s practice is autobiographical photography; the subject of her work is always real in some way, however the images are often constructed or set up, and heavily altered in her printing process, which she does in the darkroom. Alices work is drawn from the internal rather than the external. Her images aim to visualise a feeling rather than present something that already exists. Her process has multiple stages; after shooting the photographs and printing them in the darkroom she often physically manipulates her work, meaning the final outcome can have very little similarity to the original negative.
