Daniel Mooney is a photographer born in Glasgow, Scotland. Based in London, he is currently studying BA Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at the London College of Communication. His work surrounds aspects of memory, loss, disillusionment, disenchantment and discontent - the photographs a memento mori. With a significant focus on home and the self, his depictions of the personal can seem as though they are entangled maelstroms of memory to the viewer. Much of his work is heavily process based, particularly continuing the long tradition of Wet Plate Collodion and pushing its aesthetic qualities, though he often works with traditional darkroom printing and screen printing.
