Jessica Joan is a photographer living and working in London, focusing on analogue processes as her medium. Joan’s work aims to satirise the many depictions we see of women in film whilst simultaneously delving into the personal - drawing inspiration from her own experience of domestic dynamics in relationships and of those around her. Emphasising the semi autobiographical elements in her work, Joan’s most recent series was made with herself and her partner as the subjects, using their front room as a studio.
